I seem to have misplaced the month of September and half of October somehow. Those end of summer days blending into early Autumn? Gone. Evaporated.
There’s an explanation for this. I have joined Arment Dietrich as Vice President and am scrambling to keep up with CEO Gini Dietrich, whose energy and quick wit keep me hopping.

I am having so much fun.
When I started Allen Mireles Marketing in 1993, it made sense for our situation. We had two sons, born ten years apart, almost to the month. One, a baby and the other, an eleven year old. Both energetic and brimming with mischief. Sick days, bad weather, cub scout meetings, baby sitters who couldn’t make it at the last minute…being a working mom of two kids offered endless opportunities for stress and a need for flexibility.
For more than 19 years I have enjoyed working with businesses from all over the world. I have been fortunate and have been very busy, thanks to a generous supply of referrals from clients and colleagues. I am grateful for all of it.
Running my own business offered me the flexibility required to keep up with both kids (and their father) and to earn a living. I was able to partner with my clients to provide marketing and public relations strategies and manage projects and virtual teams.
However, today we are empty nesters with kids living on both coasts. Our lives are changing and I have been eager to take on the next big challenge. Joining Arment Dietrich means kicking it up several notches and I am delighted to be part of the team.
Although based in Chicago, Arment Dietrich is a virtual company, which means that I can work from wherever I land, as long as I have internet access and my phone. I love that. Our team is spread across this US and Canada–and we are growing.
These are exciting times.
